Motorhome Detailing
Detailing your campervan or caravan requires specialist skills, tools, and processes. Due to their unique size and materials and the grime that comes with externally stored vehicles, the detailing process is time-consuming. If your home on wheels is looking worse for wear, we can help. Our method is simple—do it once and do it right.

We are not motorhome groomers; we are detailers - our quality and attention to detail speaks for itself. We have all the correct insurances and plenty of experience driving and handling large vehicles safely.

Motorhome Services & Pricing
The starter for our motorhome services is our wash, decontamination and wax package. We begin with a detailed exterior wash including wheels, tyres, wheel arches - plus a clean of the roof as well. We use soft microfibre and gentle bristle brushes (only if required) and use balanced chemicals to avoid premature degradation of sensitive surfaces. We perform a thorough roof clean which covers the gelcoat/paint, solar panels, skylights and satellite dish. After the deep clean we apply a 3-6 month rated wax to protect the exterior and dress the plastics and tyres with our silicone free dressing.
- Thorough Exterior Wash (All Surfaces) - Roof Clean Including Skylights, Solar Panels, Satellite Dish - Wheels, Tyres, Wheel Arches Cleaned - Clean All Door/Compartment Edges & Seals - Light Decontamination (Removes Tar, Bug Guts, Sap) - 3-6 Month Wax Protection - Plastics & Tyres Dressed/Protected
Cost: $25/Foot Time Frame: 1 Working Day (Size Dependent)
Important Note: Severe roof algae and dirt build up may incur additional charges. When cleaning the roof we do not remove solar panels etc... therefore not all areas can be 100% cleaned when access is limited. We reserve the right to adjust the job price and quote (with your permission) upon in-person inspection of your vehicle. We clean the edges and seals of external compartments but not inside the compartments themselves.
Popular Add-Ons Engine Bay Clean: $99 Awning Clean: $149 Sale Photos: $49 Headlight Polish: $99
The first level of polishing a motorhome is our machine polish/gelcoat enhancement. This takes our full wash package and adds on a moderate machine polish of all gelcoat surfaces (excluding the roof - see seperate package). This is suitable for surfaces with light oxidation - generally motorhomes with 75,000kms or less and under 10 years old (or those that have been polished well in the past). Note: everything from our full wash package is included alongside the gelcoat polishing - we don't 'just' polish the gelcoat as part of this price.
Please note; gelcoat wears and oxidises differently on all vehicles. It is only with an in person inspection that we can advise on the most suitable level of polishing for your motorhome. We will always perform a test on your gelcoat before beginning - and to ascertain the suitability of the package booked.

We reserve the right to adjust the job price and quote (with your permission) upon in-person inspection of your vehicle. We clean the edges and seals of external compartments but not inside the compartments themselves. Some campers will require additional polishing steps or even wet sanding depending on condition to ensure the best result that lasts. We highly recommend considering a ceramic coating to lock in the shine after completing this package.

The second level of polishing a motorhome is our heavy gelcoat restoration. This takes our full wash package and adds on a multi-step cut, polish and when required wet sanding to restore shine to all gelcoat surfaces (excluding the roof - see seperate package). This is suitable for surfaces with moderate to heavy oxidation - generally motorhomes with 200,000kms or less and under 20-25 years old. When gelcoat oxidises badly it cannot be removed by simply polishing alone - so we employ a variety of techniques to get the job done right. This is time consuming and fastidious work - but we have had extremely good results on motorhomes that looked very poorly to start with. Note: everything from our full wash package is included alongside the gelcoat restoration - we don't 'just' restore the gelcoat as part of this price.
Please note; gelcoat wears and oxidises differently on all vehicles. It is only with an in person inspection that we can advise on the most suitable level of polishing/restoration for your motorhome. We will always perform a test on your gelcoat before beginning - and to ascertain the suitability of the package booked.

We clean the edges and seals of external compartments but not inside the compartments themselves. Our heavy restoration will get all quality gelcoat and painted surfaces back to an as new finish - however previous repairs or poor quality surfaces may not always yield a perfect result. We highly recommend considering a ceramic coating to lock in the condition after this service.

Ceramic Coating will significantly slow the oxidation process on campervans (not completely stop it, however). Over time, Ceramic Coating pays for itself in the reduced frequency of re-polishing, lowering your repeat costs, and less polishing means less gelcoat abrasion, which preserves the integrity for the future. Gelcoat only has so much thickness; therefore, polishing too often could cause premature failure over time. Due to the porous nature of gelcoat, we give a realistic up to 3-year expectation of longevity for our ceramic coatings, as New Zealand's UV is harsh, and our experience shows that even the best ceramics struggle to hold off oxidation past that period. We would rather underpromise and overdeliver than apply a product rated for longer than we believe it will truly last in the New Zealand environment.
This package includes us installing a ceramic coating onto your motorhome, campervan or caravan. You must book this alongside a new camper preparation or one of our gelcoat polishing packages - it cannot be a standalone service.
A Fireball Ceramic Coating creates a semi-permanent bond against your paintwork to provide easy maintenance, bring out a deep shine, repel dirt and dust, protect from UV and provide hydrophobic water repelling properties. Fireball Coatings are made in Korea to the newest technology principles; including a high percentage of SiO2 silica dioxide ceramic content.
Cost: $80/Foot Gelcoat & Paint OR $ 115/Foot All Surfaces + New Campervan Preparation or Gelcoat Polishing Package Required Time Frame: 1-2 Working Days (Size Dependent)
Gelcoat & Paint: With this service we ceramic coat the gelcoat and painted surfaces (excluding the roof) over your entire campervan or caravan.
All Surfaces: With this service we ceramic coat the gelcoat and painted surfaces (excluding the roof) over your entire campervan or caravan and also coat (where possible) any windows, plastic trims, external lights, wheels and accessories over the front, rear and sides of your motorhome.
Note About Roofs: Due to the severe oxidation on the roof of your campervan or caravan we will tend to suggest a lower expectation. The ceramic is an extremely strong layer of protection - but NZs harsh UV will still oxidise your camper over time. Please note we can only ceramic coat brand new roofs or those where we have polished them first. An already oxidised roof cannot be ceramic coated without being stripped and polished. For roof pricing please see "Roof Polishing" service section.
Our Motorhome New Vehicle Preparation strips and prepares new campers for a Ceramic Coating application. To prepare the surface on a brand-new motorhome we use a combination of chemicals to strip the surfaces - and abrasive polishes if required on some surfaces such as glass.

The roof of your motorhome is one of the dirtiest areas on your vehicle. Dirt sticks to dirt; and a dirty roof is likely to be harder to clean as time goes on - subjecting the surfaces to heavy oxidation and degradation. Not only the gelcoat but the skylights are often affected badly and it can be extremely difficult to take care of these surfaces yourself - as access can be restrictive and the correct polishes, chemicals and tools you need to get the job done right are extensive.
If you polish and strip the roof of your motorhome you will end up with a high gloss finish that is slick and helps to repel dirt by removing the porous oxidation that traps dirt and grime. Polishing is not a permanent fix - and over time the roof will slowly oxidise again; however, done correctly and maintained you will find the roof far easier to clean and with less long term damage too.
Our normal roof service will involve a combination of wet sanding and machine compounding and polishing depending on the vehicle age. We compound and polish out any gelcoat, paint, skylights and gloss surfaces on the roof - finishing off with a high quality marine grade wax or ceramic coating if preferred.
If you opt for a ceramic coating on your roof you will benefit from years of protection that lasts far better than any traditional wax; and this will slow down the oxidation process (but not stop it altogether).

Ensure your acrylic and glass windows look as good as the gelcoat with our polishing service. Our polishing service removes light swirls and yellowing; plus leaves your windows with more clarity and free from embedded dirt. This service will also remove water spotting from your windows!
This service covers the exterior windows, not the interior. For vehicles with a lot of use, we will not be able to get the acrylic and glass completely swirl/scratch-free, but we aim for a 75% improvement on most vehicles.
As a standalone service we finish the polishing with a high quality 3 month rated sealant. There is also an option for ceramic coating the windows for an additional cost.
Cost: $50/Window + (Optional) Fireball Ceramic Coating: $50/Window Time Frame: TBC
Important Note: This price and service is just for the windows on the exterior of your campervan/motorhome. Skylights are excluded from this service as a standard. On campervans and RVs this service includes the cab windows.

"Had a ceramic coating done on the roof of our motorhome. Very pleased with the result, it should protect the roof for a few years. Sam was great to deal with and the price is fair, given the investment we are protecting."
